it was hard for me to open the door and walk into my apartment without going back. there were so many variables though. i didn't know what laura would think, i didn't know if she just wanted to be alone, or if she would hit me, or if her huge football player boyfriend would come out and kill me, or if she would just shrug it off and ignore me. i even wondered what the guy sitting in the car parked at the curb would think if i drove past, parked, and walked back. it's kinda sad that i let so many things cross my mind and deterr me from doing something, but i guess i've seen that type of thing so many times, where they just look to other people to save them, when in actually they need to look inside themselves and everything they need is right there. i still don't know if i did the right thing.
